  • letting off steam

    Well I got invited to my eighth wedding this year and well I have some rather negative feelings toward this wedding.  I don't know if it is the holiday season that is put me this way or what.  First off I don't understand why people have to rush into things from having a quick engagement to planning your wedding in three months.  Also I thought it was the maid of honors job to throw the bachelorette party but and not one of the bridesmaids job.  This whole wedding kind of makes me wonder if there are reasons behind why they are getting married so fast.  I do understand that is in the military but he's not being deployed for awhile.  So I have been feeling rather bitter about this wedding that will be happening on Dec. 21.  I think that's the part that really gets me is who decides to have a wedding on a Sunday for only 5 hours.  Most of the weddings I have been to have been on a Saturday and the reception lasting until midnight.

  • Technology

    I feel as though the way we communicate has gotten out of hand.  At first the only way to send messages was via e-mail and now you can send messages through Facebook that in turn become an e-mail.   In my opinion sending an e-mail shows that the person took the time to compose that message instead of going to facebook and writing it on there. I realize that Facebook message does have its purpose but I feel that it is so much easier to reply to an e-mail than to have to get on facebook to reply to the message that you received.  So if anybody needs to contact me for information or wants to see what I've been up to please send me an e-mail.

  • Something to think about

    I listen to music to go to sleep at night and as I was listening to the song "Like the Rain" a thought occured to me.  It amazes me that we hear songs that remind us of moments with a certain boy or girl but yet we don't have these same reactions when we listen to Christian songs.  Just like we have relationships with guys or girls we should have this same mentality with our relationship with Christ.  So I challenge you this week when listening to a Christian song have that song make you think of moments with God like any other song that would make you think of moments with that special guy or girl.
